A politics degree opens up a vast array of career options within the public sector, from policy-making in a local constituency to managing international relations as a foreign diplomat. But at the same time, many of the skills acquired through a politics degree - problem solving, persuasion, analysing arguments - will transfer easily to private sector roles in market research, campaigning or journalism.
